Sustainability in a Turbulent Landscape (Part 1)
The world is changing more quickly than ever before, and today's institutions are expected to respond and adapt in ways that are often challenging to long-held assumptions and beliefs. The Legacy Model provides an alternative perspective for schools and school districts to use as they work to sustain themselves in these times of rapid transformation.

Sustainability in a Turbulent Landscape (Part2)
Many innovative practices in schools and school districts are developed with the support of grant dollars. The difficulty comes when the grant dollars are gone or when the one person who "championed" the initiative moves on, creating a roller coaster of changing programs and initiatives. The Legacy Model provides a series of elements to consider in the development and implementation phases to increase the chances that highly effective initiatives will last long enough to become common practice.
Logistics
Each session defines challenges that seem intractable using traditional tools and methods. In this series of hour-long interactive webasts, we share common and not-so-common knowledge about why old rules no longer generate the old successes in each of these domains and how administrators can move beyond those rules to new understanding and more productive action.
Stories that capture the challenges are used to introduce theory, models, methods, and tools from HSD that are most relevant. The materials, as well as an on-going on-line conversation, provide HSD tips and tools to support everyone in resolving their own issues.
Each session begins at 5:00 pm Central Time and ends promptly at 6:00 Central Time.
They are priced so that they can be used as effective and highly economical professional development for any number of participants at one low price of $399. Connect the online presentation to a digital projector and share the presentation with a group--the price is the same, regardless of how many people you have attending.
A facilitator's guide will be available for those who want to use this as a group professional development opportunity.
