Wendy Morris, whose work is in creative leaders taught through movement, taught me that she waits for boredom with an activity to set in because powerful creative urges are then released. (Correct me if I'm misquoting you, Wendy.) I find that in my training, I do everything I can to avoid boredom, because people disengage, then are not open to further learning. I have several questions coming from this insight that I really need help with:
- What is the role of boredom in learning?
- Is there a difference between the roles of boredom in physical and cognitive learning?
- What is your own experience of the relationship(s) between being bored and learning?
Thanks for your help. G
