I've been experimenting with simple rules and implemented some at my work place:
Three Simple Rules
1. Take Ownership
2. Think Reflectively
3. Take Care
I've attached the more detailed description of rules to this blog post. I've been openly discussing them in the office and highlighting them in my emails with codes such as (SR#1), (SR#2) and (SR#3). The result has been that some staff are now quoting the rules back to me and its working nicely.
The rules still appear appropriate for this location. They were boiled down from a long list of "norms" that were in place. I find that their simplicity is making them easy to remember and the SR#2 in particular ensures a lot of other possible rules and thoughts get considered.
